Rite of passage

I had my first experience being violently ill because of alcohol. So very unpleasant. I feel fine now, at least I think I do. Nevertheless I don’t plan to drink again for a while. On the upside I had a lovely hurricane with my friends at their lake house. A very pleasant weekend all told.

I’m leaving for school now. All my stuff is packed up into my car, and I’ve got that slightly-sick-slightly-excited feeling that I get whenever I leave home. I know I’ll be ecstatic once I get back to school, but right now I’m feeling sicker than excited.
